List your products
Useful Store opens with a published standard rather than a category page. This is what we will ask you for, written down before the first listing exists, so you can decide whether it is worth your time.
What we check before listing
Most sustainability marketplaces verify against a certification scheme. Off-grid hardware has no equivalent, so we check the things that actually go wrong.
- BIS certification where it is mandatory for the category. Not optional, and not something we can waive.
- EPR registration. A seller who cannot produce a registration number is not selling legally in India, whatever else is true about the product.
- A tested performance figure. A datasheet is a claim, not evidence. We publish the tested number and who supplied it.
- Spare parts available for a stated number of years, committed to in writing.
Where a claim cannot be evidenced we will ask you to qualify it or drop it, and the fact that we did is published on the listing.
Read the Useful Store Standard in full before you register. It is a draft, published deliberately early, and arguing with it still costs us nothing.
Tell us about your product
If BIS, EPR and a tested figure sound like your product, we would like to hear from you.
Registering does not guarantee a listing, and we may decline a product without giving a reason. Looking to buy instead?
